comes home different
As the COVID-19 pandemic takes centre stage once more, an already fragile theatre industry is facing huge disruption and potentially irreparable damage.
During lockdown in April 2021, a group of filmmakers took, Pulitzer-nominated playwright, Will Eno’s monologue for the stage and created the film ‘Mr Theatre Comes Home Different’ to raise money for theatre freelancers in the UK. Filmed over two days at the Lyric, Hammersmith with twelve actors and a small, dedicated crew, ‘Mr Theatre Comes Home Different’ celebrates all those who work in Theatre and who have been unable to work due to the pandemic.
Up and down the country, theatres are being forced to close again and theatre freelancers, on stage and off, are feeling the financial impact. Please enjoy the film and, if you can, donate to the Theatre Artists Fund who have done tremendous work supporting freelancers during the pandemic.
Let’s set the stage again. Together.
